The Mechanical Engineering B.S. + Mechanical Engineering M.S., a blended program that shortens the time required to earn a B.S. and M.S., degree, provides students with enriched learning experiences through advanced coursework and research opportunities in key technical areas of Mechanical Engineering. Courses in advanced manufacturing and robotics, digital twin and intelligent systems, thermal and fluid sciences, energy and sustainability, advanced materials and structural design, and controls and mechatronics equip students with strong analytical, modeling and design expertise. The program integrates foundational science, mathematics and engineering principles to develop engineers capable of analyzing and designing complex mechanical systems. Students begin taking graduate-level courses during their senior year of undergraduate study.
In addition to the requirements for the major, students must meet all other university requirements for the bachelor's and master's degrees. Please consult the Graduation Requirements for the Bachelor's Degree section in the catalog for complete information. For university requirements regarding the master's degree, please consult the Graduate Regulations section in this catalog for complete information.
