CHEM 472B - Advances in Biotechnology Laboratory (3) Second semester exploring biotechnology techniques for gene product analysis: DNA sequencing, site-directed mutagenesis, predicting amino acid changes, protein overproduction, enzyme function assays, protein identification/preparation by gel techniques, immunoblotting. (1 hour discussion, 6 hours laboratory) (CHEM 472B and BIOL 472B are the same course.)
Prerequisite: CHEM 421 or CHEM 423A with a “C” (2.0) or better; or graduate standing.
400-level Undergraduate Course available for Graduate Credit
