The Minor in Applied Language Science equips students with language science skills, preparing them for industry and government careers that address audience-oriented communication needs. Students interested in human language will develop skills that provide a pathway to careers that include user-experience research, AI prompt authoring, electronic-based language content design and development, textual analysis, trademarking and naming, linguistically and culturally localizing translation, and civic tech.
Students must consult with a linguistics adviser before establishing their individual programs of study.
