Human Resource Management Minor

The in Minor in Human Resource Management complements a student’s competencies in their major field of study with foundational knowledge and skills in managing personnel in the workplace. These knowledge and skills include recruiting and selecting employees, designing compensation systems, training employees, evaluating employee performance, and ensuring workplace compliance with California and U.S. federal employment law. Students with a major in business administration, with a concentration in one of the following areas, are not eligible to earn a minor in human resource management: Entertainment and Hospitality Management; Entrepreneurship; General Management; Human Resource Management; Legal Studies; Operations and Supply Chain Management.
