Vietnamese Minor

(12 UNITS)

The Minor in Vietnamese prepares students to express themselves in spoken and written Vietnamese in culturally appropriate ways at an advanced level, while learning about linguistics, literature, culture, history, business and society in Vietnamese-speaking communities around the world. The program enriches and complements any major field of study.

Intermediate-level competency is required in Vietnamese prior to pursuing the minor. Students can achieve this level of competency by completing any of the following: lower-level division courses at CSUF, community college and/or high school; AP examinations; and/or study-abroad at a foreign institution.
