ASTR 444 - Applications of Gravitation (3) A physics-first introduction to gravitation, focusing on applications. Spacetime and special relativity. Gravitation as curved spacetime, metrics and geodesics. Applications of gravitation, including black holes, gravitational waves and cosmology.
Prerequisite: PHYS 300 with a “B-” (2.7) or better; or graduate standing.
