HCOM 307 - Introduction to Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies (3)

Introduction to critical/cultural studies of communication. Canonical theoretical texts and primary methods and areas of study. Culture and representation as sites of personal, social and cultural identities. Vocabulary and tools applicable to furthering progressive social, economic and political change.

Prerequisites: HCOM 100  or HCOM 102 .
