HCOM 469 - Intergroup Communication (3) This course explores social identity complexity and communication dynamics in different contexts including intergenerational, ethnolinguistic vitality, intercultural, ability-disability, sexual orientation, workplace, health, and sports. Intergroup theories such as social identity theory, cutting-edge studies and media illustrations will inform class discussion.
Prerequisite: HCOM 100 or HCOM 102 ; or graduate student status.
