AMST 420 - Childhood and Family in American Culture (3) Historical and contemporary culture study of childhood and family in America. The idea of childhood, changing concepts of child-rearing, growing up in the American past, the impact of modernization, mother and home as dominant cultural symbols.
Prerequisite: completion of G.E. Category D.2 or graduate standing.
