MATH 115 - College Algebra (4) Prerequisites: passing score on the ELM or exemption and three years of high school mathematics, including two years of algebra and one year of geometry. For students planning to take MATH 130 or MATH 135. Equations, inequalities, and systems of equations. Properties of functions and their graphs, including polynomial functions, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, with applications. Sequences and series. If both MATH 115 and MATH 125 are taken and the student receives a “C” or better in both courses, then the second course is the course that receives credit. If the student only succeeds in one of the two courses, then credit is given for the course successfully completed. One or more sections may be offered in any online format.
