CHEM 473 - Introduction to Bioinformatics (3) Prerequisites: CHEM 301B , CHEM 302 and BIOL 325 or CHEM 421 with a “C” or better, or graduate standing. A research-based, problem-solving experience using the tools and algorithms of molecular and computational biology to analyze genetic and protein sequences retrieved from appropriate databases. (2 hours lecture, 3 hours computer laboratory) (BIOL 473 and CHEM 473 are the same course.)
