Prerequisite: HIST 110B. West African relationships with the African diaspora in the Americas. Issues of the origins of political conflict, economic exploitation, racism, gender, revolts and emancipation, Pan-Africanism and rights of African descendants since the 15th century. (HIST 458A and AFAM 458A are the same course.)
