The Pre-Professional Certificate in Security Studies familiarizes students with many important challenges facing the international community today. These include global and regional conflict, crises and war, competing approaches to promoting global peace and security, ongoing impediments to international development, nuclear proliferation, international crime, drug trafficking, terrorism, environmental crises and food security, etc. The program enables students to build upon their interests in politics and international relations by specializing in an area of increasing importance — domestic and global security.
