AMST 433 - Visual Arts in Contemporary America (3) Visual phenomena in America as they reveal changes in recent American culture. The “high” arts (painting, sculpture) as contrasted with the “low” arts (advertising, television); the artist as innovator; alienation; the business world; and American values in art.
Prerequisites: Completion of G.E. Category D.2 or Category D.3 or graduate standing.
