BIOL 251 - Genetics (3)

Introduction to the genetic and molecular mechanisms of transmission of the genetic information. Processes of inheritance, replication, transcription and translation of the genetic material.

Prerequisites: BIOL 151 and BIOL 152, or BIOL 171 and BIOL 172; MATH 130, MATH 150A or CHEM 120A. Biochemistry majors: BIOL 151 or BIOL 172; CHEM 120A and MATH 125 or MATH 150A. All must be completed with a “C” (2.0) or better.
