BIOL 564 - Stem Cell Research (1) Current stem cell research and how to plan and manage stem cell research. Brief introduction to mammalian embryo development; mouse embryonic stem cells; human embryonic stem cells; human induced pluripotent stem cells; human adult stem cells; and plant stem cells. Course taught at Cal Poly Pomona. Students will meet twice a week, 1 hour each session. (1 semester unit/2 quarter units)
Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Master of Biotechnology (MBt) degree program or consent of instructor.
