EDSC 310 - The Teaching Experience: Participation (3)

History, philosophy, sociology of secondary education. Introduction to California Teaching Performance Expectations and Teaching Performance Assessment; needs of special populations, English learners, struggling readers; content standards and major curriculum reform documents. Includes 45 hours of observation in public schools on specific course requirements. May be repeated once for credit with consent of instructor. One or more sections may be offered in any online format.
