(21 UNITS)
The Child and Adolescent Development Minor benefits students who intend to work with children, adolescents or their families in their careers. The program includes foundational courses on children’s cognitive, biological and social-emotional development, as well as courses that cover concepts and strategies to support development in diverse contexts.
A minimum of 12 units of coursework for the minor must be distinct from coursework that is applied to the major. No more than six units of lower-division coursework may be applied to the minor. A “C” (2.0) or better is required in all courses applied to the minor.
