(21 UNITS)

The English minor provides an introduction to some of the skills and areas of knowledge central to the discipline of English. The flexible program sits comfortably alongside students’ academic majors and other areas of interest. Students minoring in English hone their reading and writing skills, acquire a basic familiarity with literary history and take specialized courses in literary or cultural analysis, composition and rhetoric, or creative writing.

When selecting courses, students should consult a faculty adviser in the Department of English, Comparative Literature and Linguistics. A “C” (2.0) or better is required in all courses applied to the minor.
