Return to: Academic Departments and Programs
The Science, Culture and Society minor teaches students to think about what counts as scientific knowledge, and how science intervenes in the world. Courses in the minor use multiple disciplinary lenses and include both historical and contemporary perspectives. For students in the arts, humanities, social sciences, education and business, the program provides an opportunity to develop a critical understanding of the role of science and technology in the world. For students in science, engineering and the health sciences, it provides an opportunity to reflect critically on the impact and implications of their work.
