The Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies requires 42 units in the major, including 18 units of core requirements, 12 units of breadth experiences and 12 units within one of five emphases: Argumentation and Persuasion; Communication Studies; Intercultural Communication; Interpersonal Communication; and Organizational Communication.

Argumentation and Persuasion Emphasis (12 units)
Communication Studies Emphasis (12 units)
An emphasis in Communication Studies provides student with the opportunity to focus on two of the emphases. The courses selected must be adviser-approved and from at least two of the emphases.
Intercultural Communication Emphasis (12 units)
Interpersonal Communication Emphasis (12 units)
Organizational Communication Emphasis (12 units)
