The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing has granted approval to the Department of Literacy and Reading Education to offer coursework to meet requirements for the Reading and Literacy Added Authorization. Persons wishing to earn the Reading and Literacy Added Authorization must make formal application to the university and meet the requirements of the Office of Graduate Studies and additional requirements posted on the department website.

Study Plan

The certificate is delivered in two formats: 1) face-to-face classes with online components; 2) 100-percent online. The following courses are required to complete the certificate:
