Prerequisites: Completion of (or be eligible to take) ENGL 101 with a “C” (2.0) or better, completion of MATH 115 (or equivalent) and BIOL 171 or CHEM 120A with a “C” or better. Structure and function of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells including: evolutionary relationships; cell membranes; compartmentation; signaling and metabolic pathways; cellular reproduction; cell differentiation, multicellularity and development.
