NURS 408L - Nursing Externship (4)

Prerequisite: admission to prelicensure pathway to the bachelor’s or master’s program in Nursing; NURS 321 , NURS 321L , NURS 403 , NURS 403L , NURS 404 , NURS 404L , NURS 405 , NURS 405L . Provides opportunities to gain additional clinical experience while employed in a clinical setting. Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor, the extern provides direct care to selected patients, consistent with the student’s level of clinical experience. (1 hour seminar, 9 hours clinical externship)
