MUS 264 - Jazz Improvisation I (1)

Prerequisites: MUS 111, MUS 112. Ability on a standard jazz instrument, or consent of instructor. Application of scales and their relationship to chords. Modes, jazz rhythmic phrasing, blues progressions and cycle of dominant seventh chords. Basic jazz keyboard drills and ear training are involved. (2 hours activity)
