Prerequisite: ECON 100 or ECON 201. Theory, practice and institutions of the international economy. International trade and investment, balance of payments, foreign exchange rates, multinational enterprise, international economic policy. Current trade issues: European Community, trade with developing countries, Eastern Europe, and the states of the former Soviet Union; General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and other major trade agreements.
