Technology Support

IT Help Desk

Need assistance with software, hardware, and network support? The IT Help Desk is here to answer all of your CSUF technology questions.

The IT Help Desk is 24/7 during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Academic Technology Center (ATC) – PLS 237

The Academic Technology Center is located in PLS-237. Knowledgeable staff are available to answer all of your IT questions, help you with setting up your campus issued devices, and more. Faculty who need additional classroom technology equipment please visit the ATC. Visit the ATC website for more information and hours of operation.

Classroom Technology Demo Room

There is a Classroom Technology Demo Room set up in the ATC, which simulates the technology available in general use classrooms. Faculty, schedule a time in the mock classroom to familiarize yourself with the classroom technology equipment.

In-Classroom Technology Support

Classrooms are equipped with a variety of technical learning solutions. Faculty who need additional classroom technology equipment please visit the ATC. For technical issues with the equipment in your classroom, please call 657-278-2277 (ext. 2277). You may use the classroom phone for immediate assistance during your class.

Classroom Technical Issue

For technical issue with the equipment in a classroom while teaching, please call ext. 2277 from the classroom phone for immediate assistance.

Smart Classroom Key

To obtain classroom keys for KHS-104 and KHS-108, please bring a photo ID to the ATC (PLS-237). To replace a missing key, the instructor must file a lost key report with University Police and pay a fine for the missing key. The instructor can then bring copies of these documents to the ATC to obtain a replacement key.

Smart Classroom Pen

Faculty members who are assigned to teach in the academic classrooms that have Epson BrightLink Projectors will be contacted for optional smart pen training held in the ATC (PLS-237). Once trained, faculty members can check out a smart pen that will allow them to use the integrated white board technology in those rooms. Faculty members will be able to check out a pen each semester they are assigned to teach in a classroom that has the interactive white board.

Assistance with Technology Needs

The main point of contact for computing support via e-mail or phone is the IT Help Desk. The IT Help Desk provides a great deal of support to help faculty members with software, hardware, and network-based questions. The IT Help Desk can be reached at ext. 7777 or helpdesk@fullerton.edu during the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Mobile Device Help

Visit the Academic Technology Canter (ATC) in PLS-237 for support with campus issued mobile devices.  You can pick up or drop off your campus issued mobile device at the ATC.  Assistance can be provided for personal mobile equipment to help set up Wi-Fi or email. No maintenance services will be rendered for personal equipment.

Data Visualization Center

The Data Visualization Center offers users an immersive space to analyze and display data in an innovative and meaningful way. The high-tech center is equipped with tools, including flexible furniture, to handle large data sets along with a 184” screen to display the data in high resolution.

Innovation/Makerspace Center

The Innovation/Makerspace Center (PLN-215) was created to fulfill creativity, innovation, and talent through advanced technology such as virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D printing, Microsoft Surface Hub, Raspberry Pi, and high-end computing. Please visit the Innovation/Makerspace Center website to learn more and make reservations.

Interdisciplinary College Collaboration Space

Located on the 2nd floor of Pollak Library, North, the Interdisciplinary College Collaboration Space is an area for students to utilize the technology they need for their majors.  Each college space includes a 65” Samsung display, with Apple TV (AirPlay), Microsoft wireless display (MiraCast), mobile whiteboards and comfortable collaboration seating.

Email Accounts

Campus e-mail accounts are available for all faculty employees. Your Department IT Coordinators (DITC) is responsible for submitting requests for e-mail account creation for all Faculty members.

Titan Direct Access

Titan Direct Access Program offers digital distribution of course materials to students through the Campus Portal and TITANium. The program, designed to promote Student Success, is a partnership between the Division of Academic Affairs, Division of Information Technology, and Titan Shops.

Students can access the digital course material a week before the semester begins. This ensures students are better prepared for a successful semester.

TitanCard

TitanCard is your official identification card issued by the University. In addition to serving as a photo ID card and providing access to campus facilities, TitanCard can also be used as a stored-value card for various campus services. For more information, please visit the TitanCard website or go to the Pollak Library to obtain your card.

iFullerton

iFullerton is a campus mobile application available for free download for a variety of mobile devices. With this app, you can look up your course information, check the academic calendar, and receive CSUF messages.

iTuffy

The iTuffy Chatbot serves as your 24/7 resource to campus information. Find iTuffy in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. iTuffy can also be accessed via Amazon Alexa’s across the campus.

Campus Phone Services

Questions about setting up phone services or the operation of phones may be directed to the faculty member’s Department IT Coordinator (DITC).

IT provides an array of telecommunication services to the campus community. This includes campus telephone and voicemail systems, infrastructure cabling, campus issued mobile devices and discounted personal phone services.  For more information, visit the Telecommunication website.

Portal

Faculty, staff, students, and alumni have access to campus online resources through the Cal State Fullerton portal system. To log in, go to my.fullerton.edu. The Faculty/Staff Portal provides secure access to email, Faculty Center, Human Resources information, and other information that is personalized to the user, including employment and benefits information.

Software

Faculty and Staff can download software from Information Technology for office and at-home use. Please visit the faculty/staff software page for a complete list of software titles available.

Canvas

Canvas is CSUF’s official Learning Management System (LMS). Visit the Canvas Help webpage to view guides, tutorials, and more information. Please contact lmsadmin@fullerton.edu for questions about TITANium or Canvas.

Wireless Services

IT provides a fast and reliable wireless network across campus for Faculty, Staff, and Students. For more information on how to connect to the CSUF eduroam wireless network, please visit the Wireless Internet Access website.

DUO Two-Factor Authentication

All faculty, staff, and emeriti are required to use DUO Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

This cybersecurity feature prompts users to confirm their identity before signing into the campus Portal, applications which require Microsoft login, and other campus resources.

Information Security

The Information Security Office is responsible for the security of all protected information collected, used, maintained, or released by the University as well as assuring campus compliance with Federal, State, CSU, and Campus Information Security mandates.

Announcements and System Status

You can receive IT Notifications via text or email for system and equipment outages.  To sign up for this service, go to your Campus Portal Settings, under Campus Alerts and Notification, enter your mobile number.  Then use the Notifications Preferences to select items that you would like to receive notifications on.
