The Certificate in Instructional Design Level 1 is for those interested in learning the basics of instructional design to improve their chances of career advancement or seek a new career, but do not want or need to pursue a master’s degree. All courses are transferrable to the CSUF MSIDT program.

Admission Requirements
- Hold a baccalaureate from an accredited institution of higher education
- Minimum 2.5 grade-point average in the last 60 semester units attempted
- For international students from countries where English is not the official language: TOEFL score of 575 (CSUF score is 550)
