Reading and Literacy Leadership Specialist Credential

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing has granted approval to the Department of Literacy and Reading Education to offer courses to meet requirements for the Reading and Literacy Leadership Specialist Credential.

Those wishing to earn an advanced Reading and Literacy Leadership Specialist Credential must make formal application to the university indicating the specific specialist credential program desired. In addition, applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Graduate Studies and additional requirements posted on the department website.

Study Plan

The certificate is delivered in two formats: 1) face-to-face and hybrid classes; 2) 100-percent online. The following courses are required to complete the credential:
