The goals of the major are to apply concepts learned in Women and Gender Studies courses to other academic areas, to encourage more students to conduct research in the area and to prepare students in selected career paths where sensitivity to women’s issues is important (particularly in business, education, counseling, human services, public administration and the health professions, as well as liberal arts degrees in general).
