EGCE 421 - Bridge Engineering (3)

Considerations for design and construction of highway bridges. Use of appropriate design philosophies and standards (ex: LRFD, AASHTO). Reinforced and prestressed concrete bridges, composite/steel bridges, bridge substructures/superstructures. Ductility considerations and introduction to seismic design and analysis of bridges. Design project.

Prerequisites: EGCE 325 and EGCE 326.

400-level Undergraduate Course available for Graduate Credit
