LING 206 - Introduction to Language Structure and Language Use (3) Introduction to the nature, structure, development and use of English. How sounds are articulated and patterned in meaningful units (phonology); symbolic correspondence (phonics); rules of word formation (morphology); word history (etymology); and language use (pragmatics). (ENGL 206 and LING 206 are the same course.)
