BIOL 302 - General Microbiology (5)

Introduction to structure and function of bacteria and viruses including beneficial and detrimental activities and interactions with other organisms. Laboratory provides investigations with microscopy, culture, physiology and genetics of microbes. (3 hours lecture, 6 hours laboratory)

Prerequisites: Biology major - BIOL 251, BIOL 253L, BIOL 252, BIOL 254L, CHEM 120B. Biochemistry major - BIOL 151, BIOL 251, CHEM 120B. Other major - BIOL 151, BIOL 152, BIOL 251, CHEM 120B all with a C (2.0) or better.
