CHEM 473 - Introduction to Bioinformatics (3) A research-based, problem-solving experience using the tools and algorithms of molecular and computational biology to analyze genetic and protein sequences retrieved from appropriate databases. (2 hours lecture, 3 hours computer laboratory) (BIOL 473 and CHEM 473 are the same course.)
Prerequisites: BIOL 309 or BIOL 303 or BIOL 325 or CHEM 423A with a “C” (2.0) or better, or graduate standing.
