CPSC 452 - Cryptography (3)


Prerequisites: Examination in Programming Proficiency or CPSC 301  and MATH 270B , declared major/minor in CPSC, CPEN, or CPEI. Introduction to cryptography and steganography. Encryption, cryptographic hashing, certificates, and signatures. Classical, symmetric-key, and public-key ciphers. Block modes of operation. Cryptanalysis including exhaustive search, man-in-the-middle, and birthday attacks. Programing projects involving implementation of cryptographic systems.
