Prerequisite: SOCI 101. Religious behavior examined by social science theories. Religious rituals/beliefs to cope with anxiety and powerlessness before natural forces and social structures and processes. Religion’s contributions to individual identity, societal order and change. One or more sections may be offered in any online format. (CPRL 458 and SOCI 458 are the same course.)
