Nursing theory for caring diverse and multicultural women, newborns and families. Integrating and applying theory from nursing and related fields, standards of clinical practice, evidence-based practice, communication and critical thinking with the nursing process.

Prerequisite: admission to prelicensure pathway to the bachelor’s or master’s program in Nursing; NURS 321, NURS 321L, NURS 403, NURS 403L, NURS 404, NURS 404L, NURS 405, NURS 405L . Corequisite: NURS 406L .
