History of museum education, its philosophy and issues. Relationship with other museum departments, outreach programs, new technology. Events organization, writing interpretive materials, budgets and grants, conducting tours. Lectures, field trips and guest speakers.

Prerequisites: 6 units 300-400 Art History.
