Prerequisites: intermediate high competency in reading, writing and speaking Mandarin Chinese; CHIN 202 or equivalent. Reading and discussion to develop understanding of the social, political, economic and intellectual problems, trends and issues of present-day China while strengthening linguistic ability in Mandarin Chinese.
